PRIVACY POLICY

1. Who we are

Bit Universe is made by Kevin Savill, an independent developer ("we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

2. What stays on your device

The game keeps everything it needs on your device, and none of it is sent to us:

• Up to three save slots: your worlds, colonies, cash, achievements and boosts.
• Settings such as volume, number notation and the last slot you played.
• A local error log and the stability counts shown in the Menu. They only leave your device if you choose to email them to us.
• On mobile, a note that you own Double Income, so it works offline.

To remove this data, delete a save slot from the title screen or uninstall the game.

3. Backups and cloud saves

Your device's own backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, Auto Backup on Android) may include your save files. Apple and Google handle those backups under their own privacy policies. If we add Steam Cloud, iCloud or Google Play Games saves, they will sync only your save slots, through your platform account, and we will update this policy first.

4. Ads on mobile (Google AdMob)

• Ads are optional. You choose to watch a rewarded ad for a 30-minute ×2 income boost. There are no banner ads and no ads you have to watch.
• What Google collects. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address (and a rough location from it), device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
• Consent. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other places where it's required, the game shows Google's consent form before asking for any ads. You can change your answer any time from Menu › Ad privacy choices
• iPhone and iPad. The game does not ask for permission to track you, so your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) isn't shared.

5. Purchases on mobile

Double Income is sold through the App Store or Google Play. They take the payment; we never see your name, card or billing details. The game only learns whether your store account owns Double Income, so it can unlock it and restore it on a new device. Unity In-App Purchasing, from Unity Technologies, connects the game to the store and may process limited device and transaction data under Unity's privacy policy.

6. PC and Steam

The PC version has no ads, no purchases and no analytics. Steam, run by Valve, may record your play time and achievements under Valve's privacy policy.

7. This website

bit-universe.net sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or trackers. Its fonts and images are served from this site, not from other companies. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

8. Children

Bit Universe is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

9. Your choices and rights

• Change ad consent: Menu › Ad privacy choices.
• Limit ad tracking: on Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Privacy › Ads (or Settings › Google › Ads). On iOS, see Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
• Delete your data: delete save slots or uninstall. We keep nothing on servers, so there is nothing for us to delete. For data Google holds, use your Google account controls.
• We don't sell your personal information. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access or delete data about you. Email us and we'll help you reach the right company.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and mention it in the game's update notes.
