Bit Universe: Quest support
For the standalone city builder on Meta Quest.
Include your headset model, Horizon OS version if known, game version, what happened and how to repeat it. Screenshots/logs are optional; review them before sending. There is no automatic support upload.
Access or ownership check fails
Use the Meta account entitled to the app, connect to the internet and launch from your Meta Library. For private testing, accept the developer invitation with that same account and choose the channel named in the invitation. Being sent an invitation is different from accepting it. If the app closes during ownership verification, tell us the model/version and whether the invitation was accepted; do not send account credentials.
Bit Universe is available on the Meta Horizon Store. Invited testers can use the beta guide for installation and update instructions.
The workspace is out of reach
Select Center on the following toolbar, or Options > Bring workspace within reach. The system Reset View command handles headset tracking. Options also offers workspace turning in 30-degree steps, brightness/contrast and high-contrast panels. Turning the workspace releases its saved room anchor.
Controls or a controller stopped responding
Use the left Menu button, or Menu on the toolbar, for controls and options. After sleep, the system menu or tracking loss, release the trigger, grip, A/X and thumbstick before trying again. Try both controllers and confirm the headset is tracking. The inner grip moves content and pans terrain. The top trigger selects UI, buildings and bonuses; it can also drag window titlebars and cyan corners. Read the controls table.
Hand tracking or zoom feels wrong
On version 0.1.46, set down the controllers with Quest hand tracking enabled. Start with an open hand, pinch thumb and index to select, or deliberately close the middle, ring and little fingers to grip and move content. Reopen after a system gesture or tracking recovery. Picking up a controller switches back.
While holding a city, stick left/right changes physical size and up/down zooms inside its unchanged frame. With nothing held, right-stick up/down zooms the city you point at; left-stick movement changes your position in the workspace. A held window uses up/down for distance. Check the installed version if a private testing channel behaves differently.
Hand input trace is an optional Controls setting, off by default. When enabled, it writes hand tracking and gesture diagnostics to local CSV files, retaining the current and previous trace with a 24 MB limit per session. It does not upload automatically. Review any files before choosing to send them to support.
Passthrough or an anchor is unavailable
Use the virtual environment, check device tracking and try again when the headset's services are ready. Bring workspace within reach restores access if a saved anchor cannot be found. The game does not record raw camera images or transmit room images to the developer.
Saves, updates and offline progress
In version 0.1.46, a failed save blocks closing, switching save slots or Save and quit, keeps your live progress open and shows an error so you can retry. Keep the app open until a save succeeds; unsaved progress is still lost if the app or headset is forcibly shut down.
Quest has three local slots, separate from PC/phones. Update the app in place through its Meta channel; avoid uninstalling when you want to preserve local progress. Meta Cloud Backup may restore app data when enabled, but confirm your backup before relying on it.
While closed or suspended, default earnings are 50% for up to 8 hours. Offline Management can raise this to 100% for 24 hours; Management levels survive Prestige. A Governor is required to buy those upgrades. Earlier reached colonies continue earning while you play.
If a slot is damaged or from a newer game version, update first and contact support before deleting it. Do not try to fix a save by replacing it with an older one.
No ads or purchases to restore
Quest is a single purchase, with no ads or in-app purchases. The phone edition's Double Income purchase does not apply to Quest.
Remove data or request deletion
Delete gameplay slots from the title menu. To clear settings and layouts as well, use your headset's app-storage/uninstall controls.
