Quest private beta guide
The public Quest edition is released. Get Bit Universe on the Meta Horizon Store. This guide is for invitation-only testing channels. Public release version: 0.1.46 (44). Use the invitation and channel specified by the developer; a private channel may carry a different build.
Before you join
Testing covers Quest 2 and the Quest 3 family for players 13+ or the applicable regional minimum age. Touch controllers are supported; optional hand tracking and updated zoom/movement controls are available in release version 0.1.46. Play seated or standing in a safe boundary. Stop if you feel uncomfortable. This build has no ads, in-app purchases, multiplayer or developer account.
When your invitation arrives
- Open and accept it while signed in to the Meta account used on your headset.
- Find Bit Universe in your Meta Library and choose the release channel named in the invitation. Install or update through that channel.
- Check the game version in Menu before reporting a result. Launch online for the platform ownership check.
- Keep important progress on the same signed app installation. Do not uninstall to update unless the developer has explained why and you have verified a backup.
First session
- Check the title/save menu, start a game and build your first city. Try the controls with either controller.
- Open Help and Options; test seated/standing reach, Center, adjustable panels, high contrast, brightness/contrast and workspace turning.
- Open the Quest system menu and resume. Try a short sleep and resume. Release held controls before interacting again.
- Try virtual and passthrough views; tell us about black frames, frozen pointers, tracking errors or unreadable text.
- Save, close and reopen. Confirm progress returns and unanchored cities reopen naturally in front of you.
Longer sessions
Progress normally and try several city views, construction, research, coins and trade. Note stutters, overheating warnings, crashes and any point where you cannot continue. Try muted audio. Offline progress, separate entitled headset accounts and backup restoration are separate focused checks; contact the developer before tests that could remove progress.
Send useful feedback
Include the headset model, game version, reproduction steps, expected/actual behavior and how often it happens. Screenshots/video are optional; avoid private room details. Never send passwords, payment details or unrelated personal information. The link opens a draft in your email app; you choose whether to send it.
After beta
Bit Universe was released on the Meta Horizon Store on October 30, 2026. Open the public store listing. Private testing invitations remain separate from the public LIVE channel.
