Game information and support

This policy applies to Learn to Ping Pong on Meta Quest. It is separate from the policy for the Bit Universe city-building game.

Offline play and local information

Solo lessons, AI matches, practice and local turns work offline. The game stores profiles and nicknames, controller and hand alignment, input preferences, comfort and accessibility settings, lesson and campaign progress, challenge medals, saved practice feeds, a match at the last completed point, and summaries of up to 50 recent rallies in app storage on your headset. These records let the game remember your preferences and progress. Local profiles on one headset share the game's app storage.

The game reads headset, controller and optical-hand poses to position the view, hands and paddle, recognize gestures, simulate play and display short contact replays in memory. Ordinary gameplay does not save raw motion recordings. The game does not access camera images, room scans, eye tracking, microphone recordings or precise geographic location.

Optional online friends rooms

Online rooms are disabled in the initial private sideload beta. That build does not initialize Unity online services or the Meta Platform SDK and does not request internet permission. The following describes online-enabled builds when that feature is made available.

Choosing to create or join a private friends room initializes Unity Gaming Services: Authentication, Lobby and Relay. These services create or reuse an anonymous service identifier and store authentication/session information on the device. Anonymous means that no player-created login is required; the service identifier is still user data.

Unity processes the identifier, room/session membership, network addresses and connection metadata needed to authenticate players, connect the room and operate the services. Head, hand and paddle poses, the selected profile nickname, availability and ready status, and match state are transmitted for shared play. Other room participants receive your nickname, visible avatar movement and game state. The host's headset runs match authority. A room code provides access to its private room; share it only with people you intend to invite.

Motion and match packets are used for live simulation and display, rather than uploaded as persistent motion recordings by the game. Unity may retain service and security records under the applicable service settings and terms. The game does not provide voice chat, advertising or a developer analytics dashboard.

Unity's Privacy Policy and Authentication privacy information describe its processing. Bit Universe uses these providers to deliver online play. Network services may process information outside your country according to their applicable terms and safeguards.

Meta platform services and backups

Meta processes store purchases, distribution and platform services under Meta's Privacy Policy. The game does not collect payment card details. Where an ownership check is enabled, it uses Meta platform services to check access to the app. Your headset's platform backup settings may retain or restore app data; clearing local storage does not necessarily remove platform backups or Meta account records.

Support and privacy requests

If you contact support@bit-universe.net, we receive your email address, message and any diagnostic information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your question, investigate a problem or respond to your privacy request. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, payment details or unrelated personal information.

Conduct reports

In online-enabled builds with Meta's hosted reporting service, a report you choose to submit is processed by Meta and sent to the developer. It may include the details and evidence shown in the reporting form, such as account identifiers, a description or an attached screenshot/recording. We use reports to investigate conduct and moderate the experience. Report correspondence is retained as needed to investigate and meet applicable legal or security obligations. You can also contact support@bit-universe.net.

Retention and deletion

Local saves and preferences remain until you delete the relevant profile, clear app storage or uninstall the game. Deleting a profile does not erase every local setting or the save backup; use clear app storage for a full local reset. Platform backups may restore old data depending on your platform settings.

Live room state is used for the session. Unity's documentation reviewed on October 22, 2026 describes Authentication records as retained until deleted, Relay personal data for 30 days, and player IDs in Lobby logs for up to 30 days. See the Authentication, Relay and Lobby privacy information. These are separate services; uninstalling the game does not request their deletion. Support correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal or security obligations.

All users, in any region, can request access, correction or deletion of information processed for this game by emailing support@bit-universe.net. There is no fee for making a deletion request. Include the game name and, for online data, your online player ID if available. After using an online room, find that ID in Settings → Help → Privacy and support. If you cannot obtain the ID, contact us for assistance. We may ask for limited information to locate your records and verify the request. We will address records we control, coordinate with service providers where applicable, and explain any information that must be retained for legal or security reasons. We cannot remove other players' independently captured screenshots or recordings.

Beta age eligibility

The beta is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and older. Do not participate if you are under 13. Follow the age eligibility and account requirements shown by Meta. A parent or guardian can contact support about a child's information or request deletion using the same contact above. Before admitting any younger audience in a future release, we will review the applicable platform, service and parental-consent requirements and update the policy.

Development builds

Invited testers may use development builds containing an optional pose-logging diagnostic tool. It records headset/controller samples to a file on the test headset, which a tester may copy for investigation. The logging scene is excluded from the release build and the recorder refuses to record in a non-development build. Testers should agree how captures will be handled before sharing them.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the game's data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version. Send questions or privacy requests to support@bit-universe.net.
