Game information and support

Who publishes the game

Learn to Box is published by Kevin Savill, trading as Bit Universe (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Learn to Box game and related support requests. Contact support@bit-universe.net. It is separate from the policies for our other games.

Effective October 22, 2026. This policy describes the offline Quest beta prepared as version 0.3.15. We will update it if the game’s data practices change.

Headset and controller information

While you play, the game reads headset and controller position and rotation to position the view and gloves, recognize punches and guard, and place targets within reach. Short rolling movement histories are held in memory for analysis and the on-screen slow-motion punch replay.

Fit and guard calibration, reach, glove offsets and controller device names are saved locally so the next session can use your settings. The game does not use eye tracking, face or body tracking, microphone recordings, camera images, room scans, contacts or precise geographic location.

Progress and fitness estimates

The game stores your settings and selected language, lesson and career progress, completed-round results and best scores, local achievements, cosmetic choices, daily-drill dates and streaks, safety acknowledgement, and estimated training time, punch counts and calories in the headset’s app storage. These records let the game remember preferences, feedback and progress.

Fitness numbers are estimates for game feedback, not medical measurements. The game does not ask for your name, email address or date of birth. It has no player-created accounts, chat, multiplayer, advertising, in-app purchases or developer analytics. Gameplay and its local achievements and fictional rival boards work offline. The game does not upload your save or movements to a developer server.

Optional beta diagnostics

The optional --record-strokes testing flag writes timestamped glove and head paths, guard states, handedness, calibrated reach and the requested punch to local files. The --playtest flag writes a local activity journal. Benchmark options can save local performance records. These options are off by default and do not upload files.

If you choose to email a diagnostic file or recording to support, we receive the information you send and use it to investigate the reported issue. Share only the requested information and avoid unrelated personal information, passwords or account tokens. Declining to share diagnostics does not prevent ordinary offline play.

Platform services and backups

Meta operates store purchases, distribution, headset services and platform diagnostics under Meta’s Privacy Policy. We do not collect your payment card details. The current game does not mirror local achievements or scores to an online leaderboard.

The headset or store may separately back up and restore app data. Clearing local data or uninstalling does not necessarily remove existing platform backups, store records or data you previously sent to support. Manage those copies through the platform’s controls or the request process below.

Support, retention and deletion

Emailing support gives us your email address, message and any files you choose to attach. We use them to answer questions, investigate bugs and handle privacy requests. Support messages and attachments are normally removed within 90 days after a case is resolved, unless you ask for earlier deletion or a longer period is needed for an unresolved issue or a legal or security obligation. We limit access to people handling the request and service providers needed to operate email/support.

Local saves remain until you clear app storage. The game keeps a save backup and can retain recovery copies of damaged or newer saves; optional test files remain until removed or app storage is cleared. To remove all local game records, use the headset’s application/storage controls to clear Learn to Box app data. This resets progress and calibration. Manage platform backups separately so an older copy is not restored.

All users, in every region, can request access, correction or deletion of information supplied to us by emailing support@bit-universe.net with “Learn to Box privacy request”. There is no deletion fee. Include the game name and enough information to find the support conversation; do not send a password. We may request limited verification where needed, respond under applicable law, and explain any required retention. We cannot remotely inspect or delete files stored only on your headset, but will help you remove them. Platform account records must be managed with the platform.

International processing and your choices

Game processing takes place on your headset. Email and hosting providers may process support or website connection information outside your country under their applicable terms and safeguards. We do not sell game information or use it for targeted advertising. Depending on your region, you may have additional rights, including to object, restrict processing or contact your local privacy regulator. Use the support address to exercise applicable rights.

This website uses the self-hosted assets and hosting practices described in the website privacy section. The game-specific policy does not change the separate city-builder game’s ads or purchases disclosures.

Intended audience and changes

The current Learn to Box beta is intended for teens and adults aged 13 or older, subject to regional age eligibility and the rating shown by Meta. Follow the platform’s account requirements. A parent or guardian can contact support about a child’s information. We will reassess the design and privacy practices before offering the game to a younger intended audience.

Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised effective date. Questions and privacy requests: support@bit-universe.net.
